Trauma Nurse Turned Entrepreneur

Ed Abel - Business Advisor

When I was 24 years old, I borrowed $5,000 from my parents and started my first business. Seven years later, I was running a $36 million organization with 585 employees.

It wasn’t that I was trained to do this… I took my Registered Nurse experience and leveraged that skill with a passion and desire to make a difference in the world.

Determined to find a way to excite and advise others with a passion and desire to build a business that can make a difference, I took my 30 years of successes and failures and created a unique methodology that can be applied to any business.

This methodology allows entrepreneurs, solo-preneurs, service professionals and small business owners to learn, understand, grow and nurture the “Skill & Art” of doing business while using their passion and skill to make a difference and a profit!

Using this methodology since 2005, I have provided hundreds of business owners and their teams with over 12,000 hours of direct support to develop their business to be sustainable, profitable, and independent and have the wherewithal to thrive.

Presently, I am a consultant and advisor to many small business owners throughout the world, as well as an adjunct Professor of entrepreneurial studies at New York University (NYU). I am also the Director of the business division at the world class Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and the resident business advisor to NYDesigns, a business incubator (developed to nurture design-based businesses), located at LaGuardia College in New York.

I live in New York City, where I actively follow football, basketball, baseball and volleyball. I maintain an active healthy balanced life by boxing five days a week, maintaining a gluten-free lifestyle, sipping Sake (an avid Sake Connoisseur) and actively taking care of myself through meditation, and spiritual awareness. I collect Napoleon Hill original writings and antique telephones and I love to eat at the next best restaurant. Do you have any recommendations?
